Adult Jiu-Jitsu classes are designed to teach effective grappling techniques for self-defense and sport. You’ll learn positions, submissions, and escapes in a safe and supportive environment while building physical strength and mental resilience.

Who Should Join?

Adults aged 13 and up looking to improve their fitness, learn self-defense, and gain confidence through BJJ. All skill levels are welcome, from beginners to advanced students.

What to Expect in Your First Class

The class will start with a warm-up that includes mobility exercises and basic jiu-jitsu movements. You will then be introduced to fundamental techniques, such as escapes and positional drills, followed by practicing these techniques with a partner.

What to Wear

  • First Class: Comfortable athletic clothing (e.g., shorts, leggings, t-shirt). No shoes are allowed on the mat.

  • Slides or Flip-Flops: Bring a pair for the bathroom (for hygiene purposes).

  • After Signing Up: You’ll need a gi (uniform) and belt.

  • Optional Gear: A mouthguard for additional protection during sparring.

Gear Requirements

  • Gi (Uniform): Required after signing up for continued participation. 

  • Belt: Provided when you receive your gi.

Class Etiquette

  • Check in at the kiosk when you arrive.

  • Respect the space and other participants by keeping the mat area clean and having a positive attitude.

  • Wear your shoes to the bathroom for hygiene purposes.
