My Story
Conner is originally from San Diego, California but moved to Alabama to attend Auburn University where he received his degree in Public Relations. It was in 2018 that he first began training martial arts, specifically kickboxing and Brazilian jiu jitsu. Shortly thereafter he took a long hiatus, but picked things back up in 2021 when he began working as an instructor for kids’ kickboxing and jiu jitsu at a local martial arts studio. Over the next year, in addition to teaching the classes, he attended the evening classes to advance his own training for the benefit of his students during the day. Before long, he began competing and fell in love with martial arts as a whole. After receiving a job opportunity that would bring him to Chicago for nearly 6 months, he moved across the country and found a gym outside the city. After his stint in Chicago was over, he moved back to Auburn and found Hooked Martial Arts shortly thereafter. He trains as a student in brazilian jiu jitsu, participates in competitions, and assists Andy with the kids’ classes whenever he’s available. He plans to train martial arts for as long as he can and has the ultimate goal of achieving his black belt.
